We're Dave and Sara, the husband-and-wife team behind DT Vehicle Security, based in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
Believe it or not, the idea for our business began with a simple shopping trip — and a moment of sheer panic!
We were looking after a little one and had parked beside a coned-off area, giving ourselves some extra room to get the baby in and out of the car.
After finishing our shopping, we headed back towards the car. As we turned the corner, Sara suddenly stopped, looked at me and said, "My car's gone!"
My heart sank. For a moment, we genuinely thought the car had been stolen.
Thankfully, as we walked a little further, we discovered that someone had simply moved the cones. The car was exactly where we'd left it!
But that moment stayed with me.
It made me realise just how frightening it must be for someone to discover their vehicle really has been stolen. I started researching vehicle security and ways to help people protect the cars and vans they rely on every day.
That research eventually led me to professional training in vehicle immobilisers and tracking systems — and DT Vehicle Security was born.
Today, we provide professional immobiliser, GPS tracker and dash cam installations throughout Northamptonshire, with a personal approach to every customer.
